Sounds of Summer 2008

hello everyone,
Its been a full week for us here at our home. Actually, we stayed at the Rogers Wednesday and Thursday while Hunter went to Sounds of Summer drum class. The picture above is Hunter with his refurbished set of drums for this year. He seemed to enjoy the camp. Amy and I enjoyed relaxing somewhat over the couple of days. Here is a link to a video of Hunter's performance on Thursday afternoon. He is to the left, second one in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08ILnF56Xv8
There are some pictures from the camp also in the picture link to the right column.
Of course I am TCC today and will be back on Sunday again. Next week is full if I work at Care like they are wanting me to. Hunter and I have to work on the drum line as much as possible to make sure it gets done and is ready for marching season. It will be here before we can blink if we don't watch.
Not much other to report on. I hope everyone is having a good summer so far. I will be back soon.

working on drums

Hello to Everyone,

As you can see above, Hunter and I have worked on one of the snares and are currently working on the tenors. You can go to pictures link to see more and keep up with progress.

I am of course at TCC tonight. It has been another long week at our house. I guess the big news would be that Hunters girlfriend broke it off with him. He was not a happy person., but seems to be recovering decently. The rest of the stress is just normal schedule related items of the stress of life.

I don't have alot to tell you about other than that , so this will be a short post.

Talk soon,

Jeff

a midnight of a long week

Hello to everyone, I have been very busy or very sleepy for a couple of weeks now. I will be glad when school is out or May is over one. This has been the longest month but yet it seems that April was yesterday. Anyway, things here are crazy with getting all the things at the school done before school gets out.

I don't know of much to tell you about. It all such a blah story.

I did finally configure my SMART car. It still does not tell me when it will come , but made me feel pretty good to make a move closer. I do know that they are working on the dealership in Hoover. My hope is that when it opens, they will start filling the Alabama orders and my # will get moved up from the national list. I can not wait to get it.

I finally got some money for drum equipment out of the money that I have generated for the band. That is a long story in itself and I really don't want to get into that. But I ended up generating right at $10,000 for the band this year. I did get recognized for that at awards day from the Principal, but I would trade my award for the new drum line that I was working for any day. I hate that the bands debt took it all and disappointed me. Anyway, off the soap box. We are getting new heads and a lot of parts and stuff to refinish out drums and make them look and sound new. I will post some pictures as Hunter and I do the work.

We have had a rough time with Hunter as of late. He is going threw a really rough time of being 14 and figuring out who he is and how to separate that from the influence of his peers. He is had several bad days this week and I hope is learning some lessons from them.

Amy is still battling feeling bad and the pressures of the end of the school year. It is hard to understand how she feels most of the time and I just wish that I could be better at understanding. I feel that she will sleep for days when school is out. But then maybe we can have some time threw the very short summer to make some progress around the house and our lives.

I am considering taking a full time shift on the ambulance for a few months to attempt to help make some financial progress. This has been a hard decision to make and Amy and I are still talking about it. It would be god financially, but it would mean absolutely no family time for the summer due to I would work the 24 on the ambulance then ether the night after I got off or the day before the ambulance shift at TCC to keep my status there. I don't know exactly what I will do right yet, but i will let you know.

I am praying for Thomas and Paige teat they can be lead down the path of adoption with ease and understanding. I salute them for being so gracious to help this child in the most important way that they can and give that child the greatest gift it could ever receive. PARENTS that love and care for her.

My we all pray for Hubert to get well also from his infection, and be with Peggy as she continues to work with he doctors to keep well. We all also pray for Cynthia with her illness, may it subside and allow her to be well. I guess this list could go forever since we all have something going on. So I will just ask that we all pray and think about each other always.

I am going to close with that idea of how we all have to take care of each other for that is all we have is our family's to relay on. May God be with each of you and with me.

Ok, I've not been good

Hello to everyone and yes I am still alive and kicking. It has been crazy for me for several weeks and when I had a chance to blog, I was sleeping. I have worked some crazy hours and then just had one project after another. So that my excuse for not keeping you up to date.
I will run threw a few of the latest events in the life of the White's. As I said, I have been working crazy hours. My sleep pattern is so messed up, I don't know what to do.
Amy has been real sick for about a week and a half. She came home on Thursday before the race for the 4 day weekend she had been looking forward to. She had planned on doing some house work and things she wanted to do. I had to work the 4 nights of that time. Well on Thursday night about 10:30, I had not heard from her so I called and she was already asleep. When I got home about 9:30 the next morning, she was still asleep and I crawled into bed and slept till 4:30. I got up , got ready for work and left for work with her still asleep. Hunter and I chatted on the IM most of the night and he would check on her but she remained asleep. I again got home about 8:30 and she was still asleep. She finally got up sometime about 12:30 or so a while I was sleeping. She was sicker than I have scene her in a long time. I got up a little early to go to work and ran to town to get her some cough medicine. Well, again she was asleep early and Hunter and I chatted threw the night. I was at home on Monday with her and she was up and down. I medicated her and Nursed all day. I had to work the next day, so when I got home about 8:30 pm, I cooked Hunter and her dinner, but she was still so sick, she asked me to take her to the emergency room. We were there most of the night and the medicined (I know that it is not a real word) her up. She has made a slow recovery and is still weak but went back to work today. I will be glad when school is out for the summer and she can get some rest.
Friday, Amy drove Hunter up to meet me at work and Hunter and I went to the Crawfish Boil concert. Amy did not want to go. But anyway, Hunter had wanted to go for several months to see the group Seether. The picture at the top is of him next to the lead singer after the show. We had a good time except for the drunk 17 year old passing out and me having to work on him for about 30 minutes in the middle of the crowd till the medics found us to get him out.
Saturday was mostly a rest day. Then that night, Hunter had a dance at school and I went to help him with the sound system and to help chaperon. It was fun.
Sunday, Again was sort of a rest day. I work around the house some and Hunter helped me. He got his new ipod touch when we went to Walmart. We told him he could get it with some of the tax money a while back and he was driving me crazy about it. Its pretty neat.
Well now its back to a full week and the normal work and go life style.
I will attempt to do better with posting, but no promises.
Jeff
